Lucknow: A major employment and placement drive for women and young women will be organised at Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Aliganj, Lucknow, on September 11, 2026, offering job opportunities across manufacturing, insurance and tailoring sectors.
Four prominent companies — Hero MotoCorp, Hindustan Unilever, SBI Life Insurance and Almas Exports and Imports Pvt Ltd — will participate in the recruitment drive. The selection process will include both campus placements and walk-in interviews for eligible candidates.
Kapil Dev Agarwal, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, said the initiative aims to provide women with employment opportunities matching their qualifications and skills and help them become financially self-reliant. Women with ITI qualifications and other relevant educational credentials will be eligible to apply for various positions.
According to Placement Officer M.A. Khan, Hero MotoCorp will conduct a campus placement exclusively for female candidates for its Haridwar plant. The company plans to recruit 50 candidates. Women who have passed Class 10 and hold ITI qualifications in trades such as fitter, welder, electrician, machinist, turner, painter and tractor mechanic will be eligible. Pass-out candidates from 2024, 2025 and 2026, as well as appearing candidates, can participate. Applicants must be between 18 and 26 years of age.
Selected candidates for Hero MotoCorp will receive a CTC of Rs 26,450, with an estimated in-hand salary of around Rs 18,487 per month. The package will also include facilities such as canteen services, uniforms, ESI and medical benefits.
Hindustan Unilever will recruit 15 women for trainee positions at its Sumerpur plant in Hamirpur. Candidates aged between 21 and 29 years with ITI qualifications in electrician, fitter, machinist, turner or instrument mechanic trades can participate. Selected candidates will receive an in-hand salary of Rs 14,000 per month.
SBI Life Insurance will conduct walk-in interviews for the position of Financial Consultant (Advisor) for its Lucknow location. Women aged 18 to 30 years who have passed Class 12 or hold a graduation degree can apply. The position involves calling-related work and offers an earning opportunity of up to Rs 20,000 per month through payouts.
Almas Exports and Imports Pvt Ltd, located in Jankipuram Extension, Lucknow, will recruit women for tailoring positions. Women above 18 years with tailoring and stitching skills, as well as freshers, can participate. Selected candidates will be offered a minimum salary of Rs 8,000 per month.
All eligible candidates attending the employment fair have been advised to carry their educational and technical qualification certificates, identity documents, other relevant certificates and an updated biodata or resume.
Candidates must report at 10 am on September 11, 2026, at the Vivekananda Hall and campus of Government ITI, Aliganj, Lucknow, to participate in the recruitment process.
